
Steven L. Kreseski serves as the Chief Operating Officer at The Livingston Group, and is also Director of the Energy, Environment and Natural Resources practice area. Before joining The Livingston Group, Mr. Kreseski served as Chief of Staff to Maryland Governor Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr., and during three successful legislative sessions helped to craft major policy and budgetary reforms for the state. He was Chief of Staff and Legislative Director to Representative Ehrlich (R-MD) during his eight-year congressional tenure and developed significant policy expertise working with the Commerce, Budget, Financial Services and Government Reform committees.
Mr. Kreseski previously worked for U.S. Senator Larry Pressler (R-SD) on issues before the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee, and later as the legislative director to a national business trade association where he developed extensive federal and state legislative and policy experience.
In the state of Maryland, Mr. Kreseski has substantial experience as a practicing business lawyer and earlier as judicial clerk. He has state legislative experience, having staffed the Senate Finance, and Budget and Tax committees of the Maryland General Assembly. Mr. Kreseski is a veteran of many national and state political campaigns. After assisting Mr. Ehrlich in his election to Congress, he helped Congressman Ehrlich in his duties as Deputy Majority Whip and the vice-chair of finance for the National Republican Congressional Committee.
Mr. Kreseski earned his law degree from the University of Baltimore and undergraduate degree from Gettysburg College. He has been admitted to the practice of law in the Maryland state and federal courts.
