
M. L. “Tripp” Funderburk joined the Livingston Group with over thirteen years of legislative experience, including seven years working on Capitol Hill for Congressman Bob Livingston (R-LA), and six years representing numerous client interests for The Washington Group.
While working on Capitol Hill, Mr. Funderburk served as Representative Livingston’s lead staffer on the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Foreign Operations and on the House Administration Subcommittee on Elections. He assisted Ranking Member Livingston in coordinating the House Republican position on campaign finance reform, voter registration, and appropriations for international programs. When Representative Livingston was named Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee in 1994, Mr. Funderburk moved to the Appropriations Committee and served as special assistant to the Chairman.
As Senior Vice President for The Washington Group, Mr. Funderburk represented numerous clients before Congress and the executive branch on a broad range of areas including health care, technology, defense, homeland security, internet taxation, and various appropriations issues.
Mr. Funderburk earned a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Virginia and a master of business administration from Duke University.
