
Geoff Gleason is a consultant with The Livingston Group with over twenty-five years of federal government experience. Mr. Gleason provides strategic legislative and government affairs counsel to a wide range of corporate and non-profit clients.
Having worked within Congress for twenty-three years, Mr. Gleason has served in many positions including that of legislative assistant, legislative director and chief of staff. He also served as professional staff on the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee and as associate staff on both the House Appropriations Committee and House Rules Committee. For nine years, Mr. Gleason served as Chief of Staff to former Congressman Jerry Solomon (R-NY), Chairman of the House Rules Committee. In his final position on Capitol Hill, he served as Appropriations Associate to Congressman Frank Wolf (R-VA), Chairman of Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice and State.
Apart from his service on Capitol Hill, Mr. Gleason was the Deputy Director of Congressional Affairs at the Selective Service System during the Reagan Administration, and was recognized for his service on the Presidential Transition Team.
In addition to appropriations, Mr. Gleason has expertise in a broad range of policy areas with concentrations in health care, homeland security and intellectual property. At The Livingston Group, Mr. Gleason has successfully represented several non-profits, corporations and educational institutions.
