U.S. Federal Government Relations/Lobbying

Timing and access to the right people make all the difference in Washington. Our depth of political and policy expertise position us to elevate your standing with the right decision-makers at the right time. The networks of The Livingston Group and its affiliates extend widely within the Bush Administration. Relationships with Republican and Democrat Members of Congress in the House and the Senate are broad and deep. TLG places a particular emphasis on direct contacts with Members, and our team of former Members is a special asset in that regard. Congressman Livingston is joined by several Senior Counselors, all former Members of Congress or senior Administration officials:

  • Tom Coleman (R-MO) was a senior Member of the House Committees on Education and the Workforce and Agriculture.
  • Lauri Fitz-Pegado was Assistant Secretary and Director General of the US and Foreign Commercial Service in the Clinton Administration and a former career Foreign Service officer. She was a senior advisor to Ron Brown at both the Democratic National Committee and the Department of Commerce.
  • Dennis Hertel (D-MI) served six terms in Congress and was a senior Member of the House Armed Services Committee. He also chaired the House Subcommittee on Oceanography, Great Lakes and the Outer Continental Shelf.
  • Ron Klink (D-PA) was the Ranking Democrat on the Oversight Subcommittee for the House Energy and Commerce Committee. Also served on the Telecommunications and Energy Subcommittees.
  • Anthony J. Moffett (D-CT) chaired the House Subcommittee on Energy, Environment and Natural Resources.
  • Bill Zeliff (R-NH) was a Deputy Whip and a House Subcommittee Chair serving on the Government Reform Committee with responsibilities for national security, international affairs and criminal justice. In addition, he was a senior member of the House Transportation and Small Business Committees.
