Bruce Hatton comes to The Livingston Group with over 30 years of government relations experience with special expertise in the foreign trade, energy and transportation sectors.

Previously, he served for eight years as Vice President and General Manager of Washington operations for McDermott International, the New Orleans-based energy services company with worldwide operations and facilities. In that capacity, he headed the federal and international relations efforts of McDermott's three principal subsidiaries: J. Ray McDermott (marine construction), The Babcock & Wilcox Company (power generation) and BWX Technologies (government defense contracts). At The Livingston Group, he will continue to represent McDermott interests in Washington. Mr. Hatton has held a number of positions in both the private and public sectors including vice president of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) and principal in a business coalition formed to gain congressional approval of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). He has served on industry-government advisory councils and association boards of directors.

He is a retired Naval Reserve Captain, having commanded three Naval Reserve units and having been recalled to active duty in the Pentagon during Operation Desert Storm.

Mr. Hatton has an undergraduate degree from Williams College and a Masters degree in international business from George Washington University.
